The King's School provides a vibrant environment with a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom. A pupil's day at school is generally busy as he or she typically juggles lessons with a variety of activities such as practice in a music ensemble, a football match and learning lines for the school play.

Great importance is given to pupil's conduct and behaviour. School rules are few but firm, apply to pupils and staff alike and are based on the principle of respect and consideration for others. A positive and helpful demeanour is encouraged and rewarded.

We also encourage pupils from an early age to take responsibility for their community.  Students contribute to decision-making in the school through Primary and Secondary Student Councils. Activities involving the wider community generally focus on developing a sense of responsibility for the common good.

The school runs a house system. Every pupil belongs to one of four houses. Within their houses pupils take positions of responsibility, compete against other houses in sport and music and work towards common goals in a range of areas.

King's is a dynamic and relaxed place where our pupils can begin to discover answers to who they want to be and what they want to do.
